Thinc, a leading international exhibition design firm located in lower Manhattan, is looking for an IT/VR Manager to join our team of diverse and dedicated creative professionals. Our practice includes high-profile projects in the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. We are looking for an IT/VR manager to be responsible for the smooth running of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, costs and timelines. You will provide day-today support and maintenance of our company’s computing needs (including computers, printers & video conferencing) and manage our Virtual Reality lab under the direction of the Studio Director.


The successful candidate will have demonstrable technology skills and knowledge of IT industry’s best practice processes. The ideal candidate will also have the following skillset: 3D modeling (Rhino 3D), and experience with Unity or Unreal (preferred) game engines.


Major Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support and maintenance of our company’s technology needs
  • Support and manage computer (PC & Mac) and communications systems
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Manage the Virtual Reality lab
  • Work with our designers to visualize/virtualize our exhibit designs for review in-house or by clients


Qualifications

  • Proven working experience in IT support or relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Mac & PC computer hardware/software systems
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks and network administration
  • 2+ years experience working in AR, VR or architectural visualization
  • Experience with Unity and/or Unreal (preferred) engines
  • Self-motivated, self-driven creator with a rigorous attention to detail


Bonus Points

  • Experience with Autodesk Revit
  • Experience with 3D modeling (Rhino 3D)
  • Strong visual portfolio with examples of 3D visualizations 
  • Creative thinking & adaptability
