Job Description
The Environment Artist will be responsible for creating 3D models, assets, and environments for VR training experiences using Unreal Engine.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create 3D models, assets, set dressing, advanced materials, and lighting for VR training experiences using Unreal Engine.
- Work with CAD models and optimize performance on projects.
- Use color theory and technical expertise to create visually appealing and immersive environments.
- Create high-fidelity textures and shaders for environment assets.
- Coordinate with users to determine illustrative objectives and ensure quality through the use of engineering models and drawings.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a two-year degree in a related discipline.
- Relevant industry experience and shipping multiple titles as a AAA Game Environment Artist.
- Highly skilled in relevant software, Unreal Engine, 3DS Max, Zbrush, Substance, etc.
- Excellent Animation & environment skills in software, including 3DS Max and Unreal Engine 5.
- Experience working with other artists, designers, and programmers.
- Expert proficiency in 3D workflow areas like modeling, UV, texturing, lighting & rendering.
- Desired programming skills and knowledge of C++ or Objective C or Swift.
- Desired experience with Oculus Rift/Quest and other VR Platforms.
