Veeco Instruments continues to grow and is looking for an Intern to support Software Development for our Plainview, NY location. This internship is all about hands-on learning, professional growth and real-world work experience. Your Role

• As a Software Development Intern, you will build on classroom learning through paid work directly related to your field
• Support the development of equipment control software using C#, C++ and VB
• Work “hands on” with testers, developers, and operations to help reproduce and solve field and internal issues in the software application, network, and environment
• Work side-by-side with the Engineering team in a fast-paced industrial environment with a high level of technological complexity
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of Veeco applications laboratory systems
• Work in an Agile/SCRUM environment using supporting tools

Seeking Someone With Interest/experience In The Following Areas

• Software development in C#, C++, VB or equivalent
• Understanding of software design and network architectures
• Working on an Agile/SCRUM team

Qualifications

• A College level rising Junior or Senior enrolled in a Software Engineering ,Software Design and Development, Computer Science program working towards a Bachelor’s degree,relatable technical majors will be considred.
• Must be local to Plainview, NY area.

We Need You To Be The Following

• Proficient with MS Office suite
• Experience with Windows software development tools (Visual Studio desired)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Able to take initiative and own assignments
