Senior Unity Engineer - Tools Development

Ardent Blue Technologies is a software development and staff augmentation company doing business since 2011. We have secured well recognized Fortune 500 clients in a number of domains including game development, game/film/architecture tools, game anti-cheat, IoT, VR and others.

Our client is one of the top players in the VR Training market, in which there is significant demand for gamified training simulation in an array of industries such as hospitality, medical and manufacturing..

We are seeking a Senior Unity Engineer with experience in VR simulations to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role will be to develop a Run Time Editor that allows users to create and modify VR simulations in real-time. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of designers, artists, and engineers to deliver immersive VR simulations that meet our client's needs.

This is a full-time position (remote or hybrid NYC) and you must be able to work full day in EST zone hours.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop Run Time Editor enabling users to modify and create real-time VR simulations
  • Work with the team to identify and prioritize editor features and requirements.
  • Design and implement features and tools for editor tools that are scalable and performant.
  • Ensure the tools are intuitive, easy to use and have a seamless user experience.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues as they occur
  • Stay up to date with the latest VR technologies and techniques.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Unity developing applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3 years experience in VR simulations.
  • Advanced experience developing editors and custom tools in Unity.
  • Strong understanding of C# programming and Unity's API.
  • Experience in optimizing VR applications for performance and scalability.
