- Communication: The Research Assistant will clearly and effectively communicate with (1) the Principal Investigator (PI) and (2) participants for recruiting, coordinating the experiment sessions, and executing research experiments.
- Professionalism: The Research Assistant will understand and respect the confidentiality of the research participants as they will have access to the participants’ personal information. Practicing confidentiality is a key part of professionalism. The Research Assistant will also demonstrate punctuality and respect for both PI and participants.
Purpose
The primary responsibility of the Research Assistant is to work directly with Dr. Jinhee Yoo regarding her research projects on virtual reality (VR) gaming, sport consumer behavior, online consumer behavior, etc. The Research Assistant will be responsible for assisting Dr. Yoo in a variety of non-administrative tasks in support of the research activities which may include but not be limited to (1) preparing resources, equipment, and materials for the research, (2) recruiting research participants, (3) executing research experiments and data collection, (4) documenting results, etc.
Duties And Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Research and collect data through experiments, surveys, library research, and other project specific methodology.
- Recruit research participants.
- Schedule, organize, and report on status of research activities.
- Enter, interpret, synthesize, and analyze data.
- Write and edit materials for publication and presentation.
- Meet with the faculty supervisor on a regular basis to maintain ongoing communication regarding the progress of the research project.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Available only to Gannon graduate students who can work for the full 2023 academic year (i.e., Fall 2023 and Spring 2024)
- Graduate students in Business, Psychology, Communications, Engineering, or related field only.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Proficient in using Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Responsible, detail-oriented candidate wanted.
Physical Demands
Should not have any limitations using VR headsets (i.e., no history of seizure or epilepsy).
