Job Description
This Operations team works closely with VR developers to drive successful launches and ultimately connect them with consumers who are looking for the next big thing. We are seeking individuals who are motivated to work at the forefront of digital content distribution to support our app review program.App Review Policy Specialists work with 3rd party developers to ensure their applications adhere to our quality and policy guidelines. They act as subject matter experts working on escalations they receive from the first level support team and internal XFN teams. They leverage a deep understanding of the VR app ecosystems, business models, and development processes to work towards mutually beneficial solutions and leading cross functional impact projects. In addition, they use their visibility into the ecosystem to identify refinement opportunities for technical, integrity, policy, and privacy standards for 3rd party applications on the Meta Quest platform. App Review Specialists interface with a broad range of internal teams including Legal, Product, Engineering, Policy. Further, they also interact with external contacts that range from developers to experienced AAA publishers. The ideal candidate is curious, empathetic, principled, detail-oriented, and attuned to changing societal norms.
AR/VR App Review Specialist Responsibilities:
- Design workflows to support escalations from tier 1 review staff and other improvements to internal tools and processes to ensure content on the Oculus Platform meets all policy requirements
- Work closely with Policy, Privacy, Legal, Developer Relations Engineering, and Comms teams to ensure Oculus Store policies and VRCs are clearly defined, communicated, and applied fairly
- Develop internal facing policy enforcement documentation to ensure high quality and consistency in application of policies
- Report on trends, advocating for platform level solutions to common issues and highlighting up-and-coming titles
- Lead projects to drive innovation regarding processes and standard methodologies to operationalize our handling of developer violations.
- Drive developer education and awareness to deliver a best-in-class experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of digital content management, QA, policy enforcement, or developer relations experience,
- Effective communication skills, experience to clearly document complex issues and build consensus on a course of action
- Developer advocate mindset, proven experience helping app developers overcome challenges to help them succeed
- Meticulous attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Defining and applying content and app policy
- Creating external-facing content such as developer documentation, blogs, videos, or presentations
- Familiarity with the VR or gaming industry
- Experience working with remote/hybrid teams
