As a Research Operations Program Manager, you will be a part of a team of world-class research, engineers, and program managers developing a new class of communication services in Virtual and Augmented reality – changing the way we’ll work, communicate, and connect across distance. Codec Avatars is specifically focused on making interpersonal social experience in virtual reality and augmented reality, perceptually indistinguishable from real life. Our goal? To enable the ability to interact with anyone, anytime, anywhere. We are looking for an Operations focused Program Manager to be the interface between our research team and Meta internal operations teams including facilities, security, culinary, operations, IT, and others. As we continue to grow, alignment with cross-functional sites and regional partners, as well as partners at headquarters, is increasingly important. This Operations Program Manager will provide direction and influence over those areas and be a central resource for local teams on all things site operations related. This role will also play a large part in building community, culture and engagement across multiple offices, functions and teams and will directly oversee contractor roles supporting the lab's operations.


Operations Program Manager Responsibilities:


  • Drive cross functional partner teams supporting the Research labs. Security, Culinary, Facilities, IT, etc.
  • Generate team specific programming focused on collaboration, community building, and inclusion with lab leadership and operations team.
  • Direct operations priorities for external partner teams supporting the Research Lab. Defining critical projects, priority levels, and navigation escalations.
  • Develop a contact management database and build relationships with site-related partners globally.
  • Lead various Meta to local transitions. Including programs and activities plans and documentation (e.g. how are each of the initiatives executed, which partners are included, where does the budget come from).
  • Partner with People Growth, L&D and DEI on global, cross-site initiatives.
  • Support key onsite visits (e.g. determining agenda, provide action items and follow-ups).
  • Develop programs focused on community engagement and local partnerships.
  • Management and oversight of internal communication (i.e. wiki pages, internal posts, comms) focused on L&D, DEI and lab culture, ensuring information is relevant and up to date.
  • Recognize and raise up challenges happening within the local organization.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience in operations, office or site management
  • 5+ years of experience in project and process management
  • 5+ years experience managing complex logistics across multiple teams or offices
  • Experience prioritizing multiple projects in parallel
  • Experience building culture and community within a designated office and team environment
