Job Description
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the engineering and design teams to define and develop content in bespoke VR engine, Unity, Unreal, and other graphic engines.
- Design, manage and maintain the pipeline from artists and designers through to deployment.
- Optimize content by enhancing performance and instructing the artists and designers on asset creation, modeling, and texturing best practices.
- Work closely with engineers to implement interactive objects and systems.
- Quickly solve issues with your cross-functional leads.
- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Responsible for maintaining assets from creation to shipping.
- Ability to collaborate and iterate based on the team's needs.
- Develop DCC tools and plug-ins
- Develop broad technical expertise to assist in a wide variety of technical and artistic tasks
Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive content pipeline development experience, with emphasis on building efficient and user-friendly pipelines and tools for content creation and asset tracking, in AAA games, FX, and/or big tech companies
- Knowledge of pipeline and tools design and implementation/optimization of those in large, multi-team, distributed environments
- 3+ years of experience in game development or film as a Technical Artist
- Experience with Python/PyQt, Maya PyMEL
- Experience collaborating on multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience communicating with team members including engineers and artists
- Experience with 3D software packages such as Maya, Houdini, Substance, Photoshop, etc
- Experience with game optimization techniques and performance analysis
- Experience working with Unity or Unreal
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building mobile applications
- Content development experience, including shipping one or more titles
- Prior virtual reality experience
- In-depth knowledge of Perforce, git, and other source control systems
- Shader programming experience
- Experience with C++,C#
- Meta Quest game development
