Our client is one of the top players in the VR Training market, in which there is significant demand for gamified training simulation in an array of industries such as hospitality, medical and manufacturing..

We are seeking a Lead Unity Engineer with experience in VR simulations to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role will be to develop a Run Time Editor that allows users to create and modify VR simulations in real-time. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of designers, artists, and engineers to deliver immersive VR simulations that meet our client's needs.

This is a full-time position (remote or hybrid NYC) and you must be able to work full day in EST zone hours.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and develop the platform runtime editor.
  • Work with the team to identify and prioritize editor features and requirements.
  • Design and implement features and tools for editor tools that are scalable and performant.
  • Lead a team of engineers providing guidance, mentoring and feedback as needed.
  • Work with leads across the department to ensure an efficient and effective development process.
  • Ensure the tools are intuitive, easy to use and have a seamless user experience.
  • Stay up to date with the latest VR technologies and techniques.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in Unity developing applications
  • 5+ years experience in VR simulations
  • Advanced experience developing editors and custom tools in Unity
  • Strong understanding of C# programming and Unity's API.
  • 3 years + Lead experience required
  • Experience in optimizing VR applications for performance and scalability.
