Your role will involve leveraging VR/XR technologies to optimize the manufacturing and assembly of vehicles, improve training programs, and support the design of electric vehicles.

What You'll Do…
  • VR/XR Design and Development:
  • Utilize VR/XR tools and software to design and develop virtual experiences that simulate automotive manufacturing environments, processes, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and production managers, to translate their requirements into effective VR/XR solutions.
  • Create interactive 3D models and visualizations of automotive components and systems, including electric powertrains and battery systems.
  • Optimize virtual environments to accurately reflect real-world manufacturing conditions and facilitate realistic training simulations.
  • Process Optimization and Simulation:
  • Identify areas in the automotive manufacturing and EV production workflows where VR/XR technologies can improve efficiency, productivity, and safety.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement VR/XR-driven process improvements and monitor their impact on production metrics.
  • Training and Education:
  • Design and deliver VR/XR training modules for automotive manufacturing personnel, focusing on assembly techniques, safety protocols, and EV-specific knowledge.
  • Develop interactive tutorials, guided simulations, and virtual assessments to enhance learning outcomes and retention.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of VR/XR training programs, gather feedback from users, and make iterative improvements.
  • Stay updated on emerging VR/XR technologies, tools, and trends in the automotive industry, and propose innovative applications to enhance training and education.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, provide technical expertise, and offer creative solutions.
  • Effectively communicate complex VR/XR concepts and designs to both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, present project updates, and gather feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster relationships with external partners, research institutions, and industry experts to stay informed about best practices and advancements in VR/XR design for automotive manufacturing.

Even better, you may have…

  • Proven experience in virtual reality, augmented reality, or extended reality design and development, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of VR/XR tools, software, and platforms, such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Oculus, or HTC Vive.
  • Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes, assembly line operations, and electric vehicle technologies is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling, animation, and visualization software, such as Autodesk Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to identify opportunities for VR/XR implementation in automotive manufacturing.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving requirements in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for leveraging VR/XR technologies to drive innovation in the automotive industry.
