We are currently looking for a Senior Director Trainingto join us in our mission to save lives and prevent injuries.

Position Highlights:

As the Senior Director of Workplace Training, you will lead the development and implementation of innovative workplace training strategies that drive exceptional growth and operational excellence with a customer-centric focus. This role will oversee the First Aid and Workplace Training business units and will prioritize synergy across all NSC’s business offerings.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive and innovative learning strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives and market trends.
  • Unify and lead the Workplace training and First Aid teams to drive collaboration, innovation, and a customer-centric approach.
  • Analyze and optimize customer-centric processes for a seamless and uniform experience, implementing data-driven improvements, and putting the customer at the center of everything we do.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide workplace context and requirements for implementing a new LMS system organization-wide.
  • Develop and maintain a strong P&L focus, identifying and prioritizing business unit opportunities using data-driven insights and financial, customer, and market analyses.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to develop new growth-focused capabilities aligned with corporate strategy and objectives to fully capitalize on the NSC brand.
  • Drive the execution of plans and strategies across business units to achieve revenue targets and market growth, while optimizing for surplus to re-invest in the organization’s mission of ‘saving lives.”
  • Identify and develop adjacent offerings to complement our core business, expanding the company's portfolio and reach.
  • Work with the business to research future trends in health & safety, and create training courses to meet emerging needs, ensuring the company stays at the forefront of the industry.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize existing training courses, developing a new product development plan to fill gaps and meet market demands.
  • Establish a product refresh plan in collaboration with finance and other stakeholders to maintain up-to-date offerings and drive competitive advantage.
  • Represent the company as an industry leader in training, ensuring alignment with senior executive(s) and programmatic teams.
  • Drive internal and external discussions and debates on key strategic training issues by offering personal insights, generating ideas, and leveraging your influence to shape outcomes.
  • Continuously gather competitive insights and analyze marketplace dynamics for informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives prioritized by the Executive Leadership Team, driving collaboration and execution.
  • Create and conduct presentations and updates for stakeholders and members on special projects, representing the company in industry events and conferences

We’re Looking for Someone with:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, adult education, or a relevant field; master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of ten years of relevant experience
  • Proven work experience as a leader of a learning/training business, or similar role, with a strong focus on Profit and Loss management and business leadership.
  • Demonstrable success in designing and executing innovative training programs, driving growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (Interactive eLearning, Virtual Instructor Lead, adaptive learning, on-the-job or in-classroom training, workshops, simulations, etc.). Experience with mixed reality (XR) e.g., virtual reality, augmented reality, etc. with familiarity with Unity, Unreal, etc.
  • Sales, marketing, and learning technology experience/background strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence outcomes.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in LMS systems and good computer/database skills.
  • Proven ability to drive results, manage priorities and allocate time effectively, with limited guidance and direction.
  • Demonstrable experience making decisions within guidelines and policies that impact business performance and growth.
  • This is a remote position
  • Salary range: $130,000 to $135,000
