Summary

The Vision Products Group (VPG) is looking for Applications Engineers to help us build the next generation of features for the Measure app. This team is working with some of Apple's most advanced technologies including augmented reality (AR), machine learning (ML) and computer vision (CV). As a member of our organization you will assist us in crafting future products that will delight, inspire and empower millions of people.


Key Qualifications

1-3+ years experience in software development.

Experience building complex applications that are functional, beautiful and delightful.

Experience with App development concepts using frameworks like UIKit, ARKit, CoreAR, React, etc.

Familiarity with computer vision techniques and algorithms

Attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for spatial computing.

Proficiency in an application programming language, such as C/C++, Objective-C, Swift, etc.


Description

You will work on Measure; a user-friendly spatial computing utility app for measuring objects in your physical surroundings that ships on every iOS device.


You will work closely with Apple's framework teams and Human Interface designers - pushing you to think outside-the-box, and solve incredibly challenging and interesting problems in AR/VR.


You will work with technologies such as RealityKit, UIKit and ARKit. You will have access to a wide variety of internal frameworks and services that will allow you to create an application that is deeply integrated into our operating systems.


Education & Experience

BS in Computer Science OR equivalent experience


Additional Requirements

The following qualifications are beneficial, but not required, to be an impactful member of the team:


Familiarity any of the following Apple technologies: ARKit, SceneKit, Metal, RealityKit.

Proficiency in iOS development practices.

Experience in 3D Graphics, Real Time Graphics, or 3D Math.

Experience building AR/VR apps either professionally or personally.

Interest or proficiency in UI/UX design.


Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $116,100 and $208,300 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
