Role Summary/PurposeUnder the guidance of the Market Vice President, Commercial and Managed Equipment Services (MES) Leadership GE HealthCare (GEHC) Teams, this role will:• Provide business, operational, clinical, and relationship leadership to the customer. • Primary day-to-day liaison between internal GEHC and the Customer in matters related to operational and clinical programs and well as the execution of the MES contract.• Develop and/or facilitate clinical and operational programs to support UCSD goals while promoting GE as the most valuable partner to reach customer’s full potential.• Establish communication strategy to close the gaps inside the customer’s organization and between GEHC and UCSD.• Act as the MES Program Manager (including creation and delivery of variations to the contract under guidance and supervision of the MES Leadership team; organize quarterly MES Steering Committee meetings; etc.)• Link GE teams to the appropriate customer resources to help them to better utilize GE technologies within their organization.• Utilize clinical and business background to understand customer’s challenges and perspectives and to support UCSD and GEHC.

Roles and Responsibilities

This role will provide and/or facilitate support for the optimization and development of clinical and operational programs on Imaging (MR, CT, PET/CT, X-Ray, Nuclear Medicine), Ultrasound, Patient Care Solutions, and Digital areas. This individual will also act as “voice of the customer”, working with GEHC commercial, service, applications, and business units’ teams during the product life cycle to ensure that our solutions meet the customer requirements.

  • Primary customer interface to GEHC for all matters relating to the Structured Partnership project.
  • Establish both internal and external operational mechanisms to manage long-term project liabilities and profitability to ensure safety, quality, and profitability objectives for the MES program
  • Work with GEHC stakeholders to build a long-term, strategic alliance with all customer’s hierarchical levels to protect against competitive threats promoting continued added value
  • Establish critical implementation and operational processes and templates to manage and monitor the overall project deliverables, ensuring they meet customer’s requirements and are fully risk assessed.
  • Implement robust processes and formal reporting arrangements in which to track and monitor project progress against the agreed plans and agreements between GEHC and the customer as KPI metrics, project and operational risk, cost and program reports, variation process / control, etc.
  • Function as the customer advocate to internal management, maintaining awareness of all program obstacles.
  • This also includes ensuring that all appropriate contract documents such as acceptance certificates and variation agreements are completed on a timely basis.
  • Organize and support program/technical reviews with customer and generate regular program updates for GEHC internal management.
  • Take a lead role in driving clinical and operational excellence and efficiency opportunities with the Customer, GEHC, and GEHC’s funding partner, through asset utilization and technology planning
  • Communicate with members of sales/marketing/service team to maximize all sales potential and help penetrate and grow GE’s share of wallet.
  • Ensure all appropriate employees are aware of the Hospital’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an effective Quality System and comply with the requirements of ISO 9001, the Quality Policy, and documented processes. Promptly escalate any quality or integrity issue.
  • Provide support to Project teams in identifying and reviewing contractual Terms and Conditions, identifying potential operational risks in implementing and delivering the Project.
  • Lead optimization projects, in conjunction with leading GEHC, to maximize clinical performance and efficiency of their GEHC Install base
  • Facilitating evaluation of new features in partnership with GEHC modality development teams
  • Supporting scientific congresses, customer seminars, and internal training events
  • Assisting with customer complaints, investigations, and ultimately offer product solutions
  • Developing (clinical) competitive intelligence to support the field with counterarguments and selling advantages.

Required Qualifications

  • Certified RN, Registered Technologist (CT, MR, NM, XR), Sonographer, Respiratory Therapist, or Radiation Oncologist Technologist or imaging leadership role at a department level.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of project management experience, both in HealthCare or Public and Private Partnership Projects and Operational roles.
  • Solid business acumen, with previous contract administration and financial analysis experience, with the ability to demonstrated technical expertise, with knowledge of medical equipment.
  • Proven record in developing strong customer relationships, with excellent networking, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experienced in communication with all levels of internal and external customer organizations, including upper management and leading cross-functional and customer / supplier teams.
  • Proven project and portfolio management skills.
  • Experience with managing resources, conflict resolution, problem solving, understanding of budgets and other related project management techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear and concise manner.

Desired Characteristics

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Imaging, Oncology, Patient Monitoring, Ventilators, Anesthesia, Maternal and Infant Care, including clinical applications and performing patient procedures
  • Experience in MR and CT preferred
  • Ability to present complex material to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Self-driven, creative, flexible, and well organized
