The Underwriters Laboratories Operations Team is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic
IT Operations Technology Intern to join our dynamic team and focus on IT Operations, Extended Reality, and Knowledge Management. As a Technology Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of our technology operations and contribute to exciting projects related to knowledge management and extended reality. This internship will provide you with valuable exposure to the latest technologies, collaboration with experienced professionals, and the chance to make a meaningful impact within our organization.

What you’ll learn & achieve:
- Assist in managing IT operations, including the maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Support the implementation and management of knowledge management systems, ensuring information is organized, accessible, and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance extended reality (XR) applications, such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), or mixed reality (MR) solutions.
- Participate in the testing, deployment, and user support of XR applications and technologies.
- Conduct research on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in IT operations, knowledge management, and extended reality.
- Assist in data analysis, reporting, and visualization tasks related to IT operations and XR initiatives.
- Contribute to the documentation of technical processes, procedures, and best practices in IT operations and XR.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.
What makes you a great fit:
- Current enrollment in a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in IT operations, knowledge management, and extended reality technologies.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, networking concepts, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Knowledge of management principles, tools, and systems is a plus.
- Experience or coursework in extended reality technologies (VR, AR, MR) is desirable.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
