Summary
The Technology Development Group (TDG) is working on exciting technologies, including ARKit and RealityKit to create ground-breaking new products. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Graphics Engineer to drive next generation media technologies. You will be responsible for developing and architecting the next generation of multimedia technologies. Key Qualifications
Proven experience (5+ years) as a Graphics engineer with a focus on rendering and pipeline development
Extensive experience with rendering pipelines for advanced real-time 3D rendering (e.g. Metal, OpenGL, etc)
Strong understanding of 3D mathematics and geometry
Demonstrated capability to lead development team in delivering highly efficient and optimized rendering technologies
Proficient in programming languages such as C/C++ and/or Objective-C
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
Leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
A strong focus on end-user experience
Description
We are a team of multimedia processing and graphics experts who are looking for a motivated individual to join our team and develop next generation media processing pipeline and framework for new products! You will be using your expertise in the 3D graphics and multimedia domain to solve complex problems in a new and exciting domain. You will work closely with software, hardware, algorithms, and UX teams to create ground breaking technologies and systems. You will be building entirely new type of multimedia experiences by designing and developing rendering pipelines using the latest technologies and methodologies. Persevere and adapt quickly when faced with complex problems. Continuously learn and grow by working with some of the most creative people in the industry.
Education & Experience
B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering OR equivalent degree OR equivalent experience
Additional Requirements
Familiarity with 6DoF video technologies and standards is a plus
Familiarity with AR/VR technologies is helpful
Success shipping media products involving image and video processing, video capture/playback, or media processing pipeline is a plus
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $144,500 and $250,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
