Summary

Apple's Technology Development Group is looking for a dynamic Software Program Manager/Producer with a track record of collaborating between Art, Design, and Engineering teams to drive cross functional teams towards shipping state of the art software. You should have a desire to work with some of Apple's most advanced technologies including the augmented reality (AR) support offered in ARKit. This is a hands-on position where you will be involved in the product development lifecycle from concept to delivery in a rapidly changing industry. An ideal candidate for this role is organize, has experience with and understanding of art and design pipelines, but can also understand and apply technical concepts quickly to facilitate software planning. They must also be good at establishing and communicating clear directions, setting primary and stretch objectives, reporting in a well-planned and organized manner and driving all aspects of the program while constantly looking for ways to improve upon and learn from experience.
Key Qualifications
5+ years in a software production or program management role
You have a broad understanding of the VFX or games asset pipelines
A proven track record in supporting artists, designers, and offsite vendors
Excellent knowledge of production/asset management systems.
Understand and appreciate the differences between supporting teams of engineers, artists, and designers and be able to flex between all three approaches.
Description
As the Software Producer, you will:
Drive all aspects of large, cross-functional programs and feature areas related to developing Applications
Oversee aspects of multiple programs including scoping requirements, timelines, and resource allocation
Help define product, functional, and reporting requirements, often taking the lead to define appropriate process for definition and sign-off of key requirements fitting the program and team
Drive cross-functional efforts across SW and QA teams, as well as other cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, Legal, Finance, Operations and other organizations both within and outside of Apple
Continuously look for opportunities and improve how programs are run and executed
Attend and recap meetings, provide notes and action items to ensure all involved parties are aligned on next steps
Plan and prioritize upcoming art tasks and stay on top of daily deadlines and future content
Manage daily execution of art tasks and keep the Art team informed about the priorities, components, scope, and goals for upcoming projects
Establish and refine processes to increase efficiency on the Art team
Collaborate between Product, Content, and Engineering to determine mutual vision, goals, and project requirements for product features
Advocate on behalf of the Art team and ensure that they are receiving all the support and tools needed
Education & Experience
BS/MS, Computer Science / Engineering or relevant industry experience.
Additional Requirements
Familiarity with computer vision concepts, augmented and virtual reality, 3D rendering engines, machine learning
Prior work experience (in any role) in any of these areas is desirable:
Computer Vision
Machine Learning
Digital Content Creation
3D Games Industry
Camera and Display Technologies
Experience working with product design and system architecture is a plus
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,000 and $230,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
