Summary
The Technology Development Group at Apple is actively looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer to contribute to and build Apple’s future technologies in the Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) space. The successful candidate will demonstrate deep knowledge of, and hands-on experience with developing operating systems. Candidate is expected to be proficient in software development and C/C++ programming. The role entails designing, developing and enabling real-time software stack for Apple's revolutionary AR/VR roadmap.

Key Qualifications
Hands-on experience developing Operating Systems
Comfortable working close to hardware
In-depth knowledge of C/C++

Description
As an AR/VR Operating System Engineer in Technology Development Group at Apple, you will engage in designing, prototyping and developing real-time software stack. In this role, you will contribute to the following:
Design, develop and enable operating system powering Apple's AR/VR technology.
Work cross-functionally with multiple teams at Apple, drive requirements and deliver the end solution. Understand the end-customer use-cases and design/develop software solutions to ensure they enable required experiences. Develop early prototyping software solutions in simulation/emulation environment. Deliver shipping high-quality software solutions. Analyze and optimize the code to ensure it's efficient with respect to power and performance. Debug hard to reproduce issues. Be a force-multiplier, by enabling team-members to be more productive
Education & Experience
BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience/skills.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,000 and $278,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
