Summary
The Technology Development Group at Apple is looking for a highly motivated engineer to work on system-level modeling of HW/SW interactions in Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) experiences. As a member of our fast-paced group, you will have the unique ability to influence architectural and implementation trade-offs focusing on power and performance.

Description
Develop system-level models for critical use-cases
Identify and analyze key metrics that affect power/performance and drive architectural investigations
Profile workloads using existing tools, establish correlation between different tools and develop new profiling tools
Develop and maintain scripts for profiling and analysis
Collaborate with algorithms and software development teams to drive product requirements and functional specifications
Education & Experience
BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience/skills
Additional Requirements
Knowledge of simulation technologies like SystemC
Familiarity with CV/ML algorithms and HW acceleration blocks
Familiarity with schedulers and memory subsystems
Experience dealing with large data sets and data visualization
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,000 and $278,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
