We are seeking a
Lead Game Producer, Sports to drive the development of our upcoming VR Sports titles. At Skydance Interactive, our production team lead all aspects of the development process, ensuring that the games produced are delivered on-time, meet a high standard of quality and brand integrity while and helping to maintain the creative vision of the game.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to multiple game teams and manage a small team of producers.
- Oversee planning and execution by working with various teams to ensure clarity of goals, set backlog priorities, and develop short and long-term plans.
- Partner and collaborate with the project leadership to craft a development strategy that aligns with the product goals.
- Lead and facilitate meetings, providing clear and constructive feedback targeted at achieving project goals and preparing game for launch.
- Organize development teams to ensure the projects are tracking to meet project requirements and timeline.
- Report project status and risk to executive-level, utilizing data to guide decision-making, develop risk mitigation plans, and optimize team performance.
- Manage and mentor producers and associate producers; delegating tasks to their strengths and help them grow.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience launching game products in a production role, with 5+ years of managing/mentoring direct reports.
- Deep passion and knowledge across the sports entertainment category.
- Expertise in managing a game development project from the production through submission phases.
- Shipped at least a AAA quality title on console, PC, or handheld platforms.
- Experience working with or partnering with external vendors.
- Experience with production tracking software (JIRA, Confluence, Hansoft, etc.)
- Able to drive team to prioritize and make decisions, creating order out of ambiguity and uncertainty (for self and others).
- Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal and project management skills.
- Solid problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Pluses
- Experience launching game products across multiple platforms.
- Strong technical background.
- Interest in VR and an understanding of the current VR market.
- Broad knowledge of, or experience in, other gaming disciplines.
- Avid video game player, familiar with a wide variety of games and platforms.
The salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $150,000 – $170,000. The salary offered may vary based on the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience and relevant expertise, among other factors. The range indicated is for base salary only and does not reflect the total compensation package, including bonus, benefits, etc.
