General Summary

At Qualcomm XR labs Europe we develop state-of-the-art computer vision, deep learning and graphics solutions to deliver ultra-optimised, power-efficient software and hardware to enable the intelligent perception of the world around us.

To scale and strengthen our offering in this domain, we are expanding and seeking candidates to help us develop the fundamental perception systems enabling self-contained XR platforms.

The position is for the Spain, Madrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Unity API’s for the Spaces SDK
• Design and implement sample games and applications for developers
• Optimise every single aspect of the system for the maximal performance
• Develop synthetic data generation tools used across many R&D teams for ML and experimental purposes
• Close collaboration with other teams: syncing on requirements, implementation details, standards
  
  

Critical “Must Have” Skills/experience For Role

• 5+ years of experience in professional software engineering
• Good knowledge of C#
• Linear algebra understanding (quaternions, transformation matrices, camera projections)
• Deep understanding of a graphics pipelines, shaders
• Optimization experience, both on system and algorithmic levels
• Strong algorithmic and software engineering skills
• Experience with different Unity3d aspects: GUI, Editor extensions, networking, multithreading, IO
• Good communication and writing skills (English, level B2+)
  
  

Preferred Skills/experience For Role

• Experience with OpenXR.
• Experience in development augmented reality applications for iOS and Android.
• Experience developing AR/VR/MR solutions for Oculus, Vive, Lenovo A3, Microsoft HoloLens
• Experience with ARKit, ARCore, ARFoundation
• Experience with C++, Python, Gradle, Bash, Java, Kotlin
