Location: 100% Remote - must be local to San Francisco, Boston, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Houston or San Diego


You will be responsible for building a best-in-class strategy for engaging and supporting the activation of their VR community of influencers, creators, advocates, voices of authority, fans, and customers. They are looking for a strategic and creative individual who has a strong social background delivering best-in-class community strategies that have had an impact in culture and to the business.

In this position, you will also be part of a team that's developing the people, processes and tools needed to deliver best-in-class social marketing on behalf of the VR business.


What You'll Do:

  • Pioneer the VR global community strategy and to engage fans and target audiences across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Discord, Reddit, Twitch, and other emerging platforms relevant to winning with their VR audience.
  • Create innovative, platform specific strategies that include both reactive and proactive fan engagement programs and frameworks
  • Identify and implement community management and activation processes to drive lasting impact and best-in-class work
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop innovative and differentiated community management plans (e.g. Product Marketing, Creative, Sales, Performance Marketing, Brand Strategy and PR).
  • Manage agency partners and collaborate with in-house customer service and cross-functional partner teams
  • Analyze and report on the performance of community management and activation efforts, with an emphasis on continuous optimization and iteration.
  • Think and operate globally; manage global collaboration for initiatives with regional marketing counterparts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years social media owned channel and / or community management within global consumer product categories and brands such as consumer tech, gaming, entertainment or culture
  • Experience in creating social media fan activation strategies from inception to growth that have driven brand engagement and growth
  • Experience leading agency partners and inspiring them to make the best work for our social channels
  • Proven record of creativity and innovation in social media strategies that have driven engagement and measurable impact
  • Articulate communicator with experience simplifying complex concepts to a range of marketing and business stakeholders; experience influencing strategic and operational decisions
  • Deep understanding of behavioral and technology trends in the social marketing, creator and social content space
  • Experience in delivering global culturally-relevant, forward- thinking consumer centric social marketing, creator and/or content initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent marketing experience
  • Experience in highly innovative consumer product categories and brands such as consumer tech and/or AR/VR technologies, gaming, entertainment or culture brands.
  • Passionate gamer, active user and advocate of Quest VR
