Recent projects include Avatar: The Way of Water, House of the Dragon, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, For All Mankind, Masters of the Air, and many more.

The Third Floor is looking for an Unreal Engine TD for an immersive experience project using the Unreal Game Engine. The ideal candidate will come with extensive Unreal experience. They will work within our Immersive team to support development utilizing game engine technology within the Film, Gaming, Theme-Park and VR industries.

Project Based. Full Time. Remote Position. Must be in the state of California, Georgia, Texas, Oregon, Connecticut, Florida, New Jersey, New York (Outside NYC), Colorado, Washington, or Canada for remote positions.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to building amazing VR/AR experiences Unreal
  • Support the art team with exporting Art Content (Environments, Props, Animations) from Maya to Unreal
  • Drive the planning and implementation of editor and tools features
  • Create and debug shader and materials graphs throughout production
  • Support the project teams with the technical implementation in Unreal
  • Support performance profiling and run time efficiency efforts

Essential Skills

  • Inside out knowledge of Unreal
  • Experience working with Maya or other DCC software
  • Excellent Python skills, particularly for Maya
  • Experience producing pipeline tools for Maya and Motion Builder
  • Experience with performance profiling in Unreal
  • Experience creating functional levels in Unreal
  • Excellent knowledge of Unreal Blueprint and gameplay system development
  • Experience with Perforce and/or other source control software

Desirable Skills

  • Excellent C++ skills
  • Proven games industry experience, with a Technical Director credit on at least one published title

The pay scale is between $20 - $70 / hour based on experience, skillset and other factors. We work an average of 5 hours of paid overtime a week. Additional TTF benefits: Health Insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision), Sick Time, 401k (staff only), PTO (staff only), and additional Perks & Benefits.
