What will you be doing?


As a 3D artist for the MadLabs team, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including traditional animation, product concepts, virtual and augmented reality, and motion capture. Your work will involve collaborating with other 3D artists, designers, and engineers to bring unique ideas to life while adhering to the project's art direction, production deadlines, and technical specifications. Each project presents a unique challenge, allowing you to experiment and develop your skills as a 3D artist. Our team operates in a customer-driven environment where responsive design is prioritized, with a focus on crafting innovative experiences that improve the user's experience.


Key Responsibilities


Create high-quality models for production. Must be skilled in the modeling of products, characters, props, and architecture.


  • Create high-quality models for production;
  • Character and asset animation and rigging;
  • Light and render scenes;
  • Prototype proof-of-concept ideas;
  • Proficient knowledge of both PBR texturing and procedural material workflows;
  • Optimize models and textures for performance in real time.


Requirements


  • Expert proficiency in standard 3D software such as Blender, Maya, V-Ray, Substance Painter, and Adobe Suite;
  • Proficiency with Unity and Unreal Engine;
  • Experience working with particles and fluids/smoke simulations;
  • Familiarity with non-destructive and procedural asset creation;
  • Ability to work in a team environment, maintain good communication, and receive constructive criticism;
  • Experience in AR/VR or game design is a plus;
  • Familiarity with motion capture data and retargeting is a plus.


Prerequisites


  • Must be able to work on location at our Dania Beach office;
  • All applicants must have a portfolio showcasing their work, specifically focused on their contributions to group projects;
  • Proven experience working at an animation studio or agency.
