Our growing organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Accounting team. The AP/AR Specialist will be responsible for AP and AR tasks, including processing accounts payable bills, vendor check runs, invoicing customers, collection of past-due customer AR, collaboration with vendors and other team members to resolve vendor billing discrepancies, and other duties as assigned.


This position is onsite, with hybrid remote flexibility based on business needs.


Essential Functions

  • Daily customer invoicing
  • Daily cash receipts posting
  • Past due customer AR collection
  • Resolving customer invoicing inquiries
  • Daily vendor bill data entry, including reviewing bills received for accuracy
  • Processing weekly check run
  • Reconciling vendor statements
  • Assistance with other AP/AR duties as needed, including:
  • Month-end close
  • Audit requests
  • Ad hoc requests/projects
  • 1099 Processing
  • Responding timely to internal and external emails
  • Ability to streamline processes and implement automation whenever possible
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED Required
  • Associate degree, Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in AP/AR
  • General bookkeeping/accounting background preferred
  • MS Windows, MS Office (Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of V-Lookups and Pivot Tables
  • Experience working in ERP and property management systems
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented person who can work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Must possess good communications skills
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, teamwork values
