Job Title: 3D Artist and Animator Intern for XR (Remote)

About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and motivated 3D Artist Intern to join our team and contribute to our ongoing XR Initiative projects. As a 3D Artist Intern, you will collaborate with our XR Initiative Lead and multidisciplinary team members to create engaging, immersive, and interactive 3D content for our virtual exhibits and educational programs.
Responsibilities:
● Collaborate with the XR Initiative Lead and other team members to understand project requirements and goals.
● Design and create 3D models, textures, and animations for virtual exhibits and interactive experiences.
● Optimize 3D assets for real-time rendering and integration into XR platforms.
● Collaborate with the team to provide and receive constructive feedback on 3D assets and experiences.
● Continuously learn and grow your skills in 3D modeling, texturing, animation, and XR technologies.
Requirements:
● Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in 3D Animation, Game Design, Computer Graphics, or a related field.
● Demonstrated skills in 3D modeling, texturing, and animation using industry-standard software (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter).
● Familiarity with XR technologies (e.g., VR, AR) and platforms (e.g., 8thwall, Unity, Unreal Engine) is a plus.
● Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
● Passion for education, learning, and creating memorable experiences for children.
● Availability to commit to a minimum of 15-20 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
