Our Ecosystem team, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, is responsible for engaging the communities that can help us build this future – startups, universities, global technology companies, our partners within Lowe’s, and more – and building a world-class innovation brand.
The Creative Manager plays a critical role on this team, owning production and art direction for the Lowe’s Innovation Labs brand. The primary purpose of this role is to build and direct a network of external design and production resources, including freelancers and agencies, to execute the creation of a range of brand assets and artifacts. These include brand usage guidelines, project videos and photos, conceptual illustrations, merchandise, in-office environmental graphics, digital assets for social media communications, experiential event exhibits and collateral. The ideal candidate combines strong project management skills with hands-on art direction experience, is comfortable working as both a manager of external resources and as an individual contributor and has a deep interest in leveraging emerging technologies (like 3D visualization, mixed reality, and generative AI) to create new workflows. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owns end-to-end production – from intake to execution – for Lowe’s Innovation Labs’ brand assets
- Establishes internal guidelines, approval processes and self-service asset libraries to ensure all visual content represents the Lowe’s Innovation Labs brand authentically across media channels and formats
- Builds and maintains a network of external design resources, including but not limited to graphic designers, videographers, photographers, illustrators, and event/print/merchandising production partners
- Project manages the creation of project and campaign videos, photos, social media content, experiential activations, Labs’ merchandise, and environmental graphics
- Delivers breakthrough production processes to expedite work and lower production costs while maintaining quality
- Innovates and experiments with emerging technologies like AI, 3D visualization and mixed reality to explore new content creation workflows
- Bids and negotiates with production vendors, facilitates SOWs, and manages business affair, legal and talent matters
- Works with Labs’ leadership to assess and monitor production demand, and with agency resources to ensure viability and feasibility of projects
- Identifies emerging issues or concerns that could impact projects and develops and recommends potential solutions/improvements to prevent repeat of issues in future project execution
- Analyzes and provides recommendations on enhancing content performance
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Fine Arts, or related field
- 5 years of demonstrated understanding of marketing communications and connection to broader enterprise functions
- Strong interpersonal problem solving and multi-tasking abilities
- Experience in project management
- Experience providing art direction
- Deep understanding and ability to articulate impact of emerging technologies including AI, mixed reality, digital twins, and other technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working for a startup, corporate innovation function, or high ambiguity environment
- Agile project management methodologies (scrum, sprint, etc.)

Pay Range for CA, CO, NJ, NY, WA: $55,600.00 - $140,000.00 annually
