Our client is looking for a talented and motivated
Print Production Coordinator to join their team! In this role you will work in a team with other customer service staff to serve as the primary point of contact and interface with internal clients. The ideal candidate has effective problem-solving skills to identify and resolve production and processing problems.
This is an indefinite contract, fully onsite in Washington DC.
Responsibilities:
- Interact with clients on a frequent basis.
- Advise clients on the full range of print and design services, production techniques and technology options; respond to routine and moderately complex inquiries both orally and in writing as needed.
- Receive and review client requests and electronically submitted job tickets for quality and completeness of submission; clarify client expectations for final product and schedule; and identifies and resolves any issues throughout the production process. Examine submitted files for quality and works directly with clients to resolve any file issues.
- Select the appropriate production process, prepares time/cost estimates for completion, process timely closing of jobs upon completion for invoicing and payment.
- Serve as liaison between client and technical staff throughout job production process and ensure that quality work is completed on schedule and at expected quality levels.
- Track and monitor requests against service standard turnaround times; handle client requests for changes and communicate the impact on budget and timeline.
- Perform basic pre-flighting work on digital files to identify and manage resolution of problems.
- Gain an understanding of internal products, services, capabilities and workflow.
- Maintains current knowledge and skills as technology trends and workflow changes.
- Work flexibly within unit or in other units as needed, to help meet client needs.
- Work in a team environment with other customer service representatives on knowledge sharing and the division of duties within the unit. Assist on projects when other representatives are away.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Graphic Arts or other relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience (ideally has worked in a commercial print-shop in some capacity).
- Some knowledge of multimedia and electronic products preferable. Knowledge of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) is a plus!
- Strong interpersonal skills and positive customer service attitude.
- Knowledge of graphic arts industry and associated processes and production techniques from design through distribution and delivery preferable.
- Ability to probe/question and understand client needs and requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
- Ability to process and preflight basic digital files.
- Good organizational skills, and ability to work capably in a fast?paced, deadline oriented environment, managing multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
- Effective verbal and written communications skills, including email proficiency and ability to follow directions. Must be able to have face to face meetings with clients as needed.
- Ability to deal sensitively in multi?cultural environments and build effective working relations with clients and colleagues in a team-based environment.
- Ability to work in Microsoft office software applications, as well as a working knowledge of Adobe CS (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat Pro).
