About The Role

Mass Virtual is seeking a Graphic Designer who will be responsible for generating 2D graphics and concepts to support the team and to assist in marketing and the development of VR training applications. Duties include creating graphics and posters for print or web, generating marketing materials, as well as providing support wherever 2D graphics or designs are needed. Applicant must be highly motivated, organized, creative, and be able to work as part of a large team, while communicating effectively with multiple disciplines.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conceptualize and finalize 2D designs for print, web, and virtual training
• Work with art director and the design team to ensure consistency between vision and implementation of any visual design elements in VR applications
• Select colors, fonts, layouts, and other design features to communicate information clearly and creatively
• Communicate with subject matter experts to ensure the design language is congruous with the client’s needs
• Coordinate with all departments to achieve project goals
  

What You Need To Succeed

• Portfolio with examples of 2D design work
• 2+ years’ experience as a graphic artist or comparable position
• Experience in implementing color theory and design principles for training or instructional purposes
• Strong design sense and understanding of the fundamentals of art
• Thorough understanding of 2D art software (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
• Strong artistic eye / creative vision
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Team player
• Ability to adapt to new technologies
• Ability to perform work in accordance with prescribed deadlines, on time, and high quality
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Focused, motivated, and effective on all tasks through completion
• Excellent oral and written English language skills
• Ability to gain a U.S. Security Clearance
  

Great To Have

• Expertise in content development for Unity or other game engines
• Experience in UI / UX design
• Understanding of the VR / AR user experience
• Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
