Game Designer


Our client is working on a revolutionary VR product. They’re expanding the team and looking to onboard some excited and determined devs to develop games for their VR home-user platform.


This role will not be building levels but will be building the systems that are going in the level.


The ideal candidate must have experience with Unreal Engine and blueprint developing multiplayer games, preferably in the VR/AR space.


This is a challenging direct-hire role for a customer based in Austin, TX. This position reports directly to the Creative Director. We are able to provide relocation assistance!


Primary responsibilities:

  • Implement and polish gameplay systems from concept to release
  • Collaborate with the development team throughout an iterative, agile development process
  • Improve blueprint efficiency and usability with custom nodes using C++
  • Test and improve the quality of the multiplayer experience through feedback or play sessions


Required:

  • 2-5 years of game development experience
  • Experience developing games in Unreal Engine 4
  • Experience with game design and blueprint scripting
  • Familiar with writing game logic in C++
  • Curiosity, open-mindedness, and a consistently positive attitude
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-functional team on the project and impact both users and company
  • Ability to operate in an agile, entrepreneurial start-up environment


Preferred:

  • Passionate working in VR/AR domain
