Position: Web XR Developer Internship (Summer 2023)

Groove Jones, a world-renowned and award-winning studio specializing in Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and Interactive Entertainment technologies, is currently seeking highly technical, creative, curious, and mission-focused Interns. This is a unique opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in the exciting field of virtual and augmented reality. You will work with our experienced development team to create innovative and engaging XR solutions for our clients.

The right candidates should enjoy working in a collaborative environment, they should be organized and have an eye for detail. They should also have an insatiable appetite to research, learn and test their knowledge and skills to build things that haven’t been done before!

The WebXR Developer Intern loves to create dynamic and interactive websites using ThreeJS, WebGL, ReactJS and/or React3Fiber. They are constantly keeping up with the latest technology stacks and are eager to learn. This person has a general understanding of the key design principles and is interested in applying them to responsive and adaptive webXR design. You will be under the supervision of our lead web XR developer and will have the opportunity to learn all of the latest use cases and complete small tasks as you learn alongside the team.

Qualifications:

-Must be working toward a degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Video Game Development, or Related Field

-Passionate about AR & VR

-Knowledge of React and ThreeJS

Bonus:

-experience optimizing websites for mobile

-experience with Blender

-Knowledgeable on React 3 Fiber, WebGL frameworks

This will be a paid internship with most roles being in our Dallas offices. We are only accepting local currently enrolled students (including May 2023 graduates).
