The Learning & Org Development Internship is an exciting opportunity to be a part of an extraordinary culture by growing and developing colleagues at Meissner. Working cross-functionally to understand the learning and development needs of various functions and departments, the L&D Intern will contribute to a team of experts to conceive, design, operationalize, and scale learning programs that align with our ongoing commitment to the growth and continuous learning of our people.


The L&D Intern’s most critical work will be focused on understanding the future of Learning and Development by researching the application and use of new technologies such as (but not limited to) virtual and augmented reality in the adult learning industry. Additionally, the L&D intern will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of classroom learning events across the Meissner organization.


Responsibilities


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Research, organize and present findings on the latest technological applications for adult learning. Research to include a comprehensive analysis centered on how to simulate a clean room manufacturing environment using augmented or virtual reality tools.
  • Participates in the design, development, coordination, planning, and co-facilitation of in-house training programs on a variety of topics, including but not limited to, production operations, administration operations, sales skills, product knowledge, technical and SOP-based workflows, supervisory skills, and management development.

  • Excellent research skills with a focus on real-life applications for technology that improve the learning experiences of adult learners.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, planning, and communication skills. Influential partner with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Inquisitive, self-motivated, strategic, and proactive, with an ability to see tasks through to completion.
  • Understanding of principles of project management and ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with employee matters information.
