Position Summary


\


Potawatomi Training, LLC is seeking a qualified Computer Systems Engineer / Architect (Section 508 Conformance) who serves as a technical consultant to the analysis teams in defining media platform requirements for technology-based training solutions (interactive courseware Level 3-4 [ICW4], 3D simulations/simulators), to include media attributes, amplifying characteristics, capabilities, and fidelity requirements. Manages all Sim, Gaming, and VR programs and activities for the organization. Reports directly to the Project Manager (PM) for all task orders requirements.

  • B.S. of Computer Science (specialization in Human Computer Interactions) * Minimum of five (5) years of paid experience developing successful Web Content Accessibility Guide * Minimum of five (5) years of paid experience Section 508 DL for IMI Computer Managed Instruction, Mobile Learning, Serious Gaming, Simulations, and Augmented and Virtual Reality

Essential Duties


\


  • Becomes an expert for all programming aspects as stated in the PWS following best business practices. * Identifies software and hardware requirements to include constraints, match constraints against learning needs and requirements generated by U.S. Army Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and customers, and Instructional Designer and Technologist (ID-Tech)s. * Evaluates ICW4 applications currently in use by the Army to establish design requirements/technical specifications for the development of architectures to support new/immersive identified learning environments and technologies. * Identifies human-computer interaction constraints and makes recommendations on how to optimize architectures to support human factors requirements identified during the process of defining new training solutions involving ICW4. * Oversees and assists with the development software specifications documents to support the program following TRADOC guidelines. * Oversees and assists in the development of HTML5 templates to support course frameworks for practical exercises and gaming tasks. * Identifies software and hardware requirements and constraints and match them against learning needs and requirements generated by U.S. Army Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and customers, and Instructional Designer and Technologist (ID-Tech)s. * Evaluates ICW4 applications currently in use by the Army to establish design requirements/technical specifications for the development of architectures to support new/immersive identified learning environments and technologies. * Identifies human-computer interaction constraints and make recommendations on how to optimize architectures to support human factors requirements identified during the process of defining new training solutions involving ICW4. * Schedules all VR/AR/IA products to ensure to meet scheduled delivery times. * Mentors employees/staffing to boost morale and teamwork.

Knowledge Skills And Abilities (KSAs)


\


  • Expert knowledge of adult learning in the simulation, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) domains. * Expert knowledge AR/VR hardware such as Oculus and HTC, HoloLens, and Magic Leap headsets, to include the training use cases each would support and the hardware requirements for each. * Expert knowledge of game engines used to create AR/VR experiences, such as Unity, Unreal, Lumberyard, and Stingray. * Expert knowledge of UX in AR/VR. * Expert knowledge in design/development of simulations, AR, and VR experiences for learning. * Expert knowledge in working with SMEs to identify training requirements, task proc ss/procedures, etc. * Expert knowledge of working as a member of training development teams. * Expert knowledge of working in a Government contracting environment. * Expert knowledge of Section 508 Conformance.

Additional Requirements PT Requirements


\


  • Computer Programmer Architect Lead for IMI development, assist in delivery production. Lead development of templatized, 508 compliant, SCORM 2004 3rd Edition IMI training delivery framework for US Federal clients using HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, and JSON.

  • Use Unity and C# to develop xAPI capable mobile and AR/VR apps leveraging IBM\'s Watson AI Cloud services * Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment. * Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication abilities. * Ability to communicate effectively within the framework of U.S. Army training culture. * Attention to detail. * Analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong organizational skills with ability to work in a dynamic and flexible environment where priorities and deadlines may change.
