Overview

Our Finance team is looking for a results-oriented individual with effective financial analysis, accounting, financial planning and communication skills to work with the Financial Planning & Analysis group. This position will assist with the monthly financial close and forecast as well as the annual budget. The individual will be required to work on multiple areas while autonomously prioritizing projects, effectively communicating with management and proactively anticipating requests from management.
  • Position can be done primarly remotely with 1-2 days in our Plainview, NY, or Somerset, NJ, office**
Responsibilities
  • Perform financial statement analysis and expense variance analysis, using SAP and / or the financial reporting systems and communicate with product line finance management regularly.
  • Own and prepare product line R&D marketing, administration, facilities Capex and other related cost centers forecasts
  • Submit forecast, month-end journal entries and other required information into the financial systems on a monthly basis
  • Manage revenue database, forecast and product line upload templates
  • Analyze companywide headcount for relevant Business Units
  • Review bookings and revenue and provide weekly and quarterly report outs
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly Board of Director and executive level presentations, including bookings & revenue analysis, financial forecasts, segment reporting and analysis of key balance sheet accounts
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders in the organization to help ensure the achievement of the Budget/Forecast
  • Independently prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis for management
Qualifications

BS degree in accounting or finance required as is 5+ years of progressive experience, ideally with a combination of public and private accounting with a focus in the areas of financial planning and analysis. Certified Public Accountant is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Demonstrates experience/proficiency with global financial consolidation systems and general ledgers (i.e., SAP BPC, SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP Business Objects or similar reporting and consolidation tools)
  • Expertise in advanced Excel financial modeling skills as well as Access, PowerPoint & Word
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team to effectively complete multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • Solid understanding of business process and systems and the ability to modify such to fit changing business needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others
The expected salary range for this position is $74,456 - $94,311 + bonus + benefits. When determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
