The Position

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Data Scientist to join our team at Cognitive3D as we explore spatial analytics from immersive experiences (VR/AR/MR). As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing algorithms and models that can extract insights from large sets of data collected from virtual reality (VR) environments. You will work closely with our platform engineering team and provide them with data-driven insights that can help improve the applicability, performance and accuracy of our metrics.

Our Data Scientist will also have the opportunity to engage with customers and analyze datasets from games, entertainment and consumer facing applications.

Cognitive3D is a remote first organization. At this moment, we are welcoming applicants from anywhere in Canada for this position.

The position will have the following responsibilities:

• Collect, process, and analyze large sets of data generated from VR environments using statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Design and implement algorithms and models that can extract insights from the collected data and provide actionable recommendations to the VR development teams.
• Develop data visualizations and dashboards to communicate data insights to stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and develop data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Continuously monitor the performance of the algorithms and models and make improvements as necessary.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science, VR analytics, and machine learning techniques.
