General Summary

Qualcomm's XR business is seeking a highly skilled candidate to help support our developer partners in China to build XR software applications as part of our Developer Relations group for Snapdragon Spaces. The primary role of this individual is to work with regional ecosystems to enable third-party developers with all of the tools and support for building best-in-class XR apps on our AR Glasses platform. As this position will be interfacing with regional team members in the China region, this candidate must be fluent in Mandarin.

An ideal candidate would have a diverse background in the areas of both mobile AR and emergent VR/AR head-mounted display technologies, having experience using applications in the XR space ideally using spatial interactions. Additionally, this role requires strong external communication skills, being able to work with developers who have a wide range of skillsets from beginner to advanced. The environment is fast-paced and requires cross-functional interaction daily so excellent communication, planning and execution skills are a must. Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
  • 2+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage developer relationships and work with regional teams to provide direct support both online and offline to assist developers in bringing their applications to life on the Spaces platform
  • Oversee and maintain relationships with local developer ecosystem partners

  • Provide developers with advanced knowledge of Qualcomm’s current and future technology with a clear understanding of how they can leverage for immersive XR experiences
  • Identify gaps and opportunities for improving our developer resources
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide input into creating and maintaining developer resources such as documentation, guides, sample code, and tutorials
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to understand the full capabilities of the Snapdragon Spaces XR development platform and roadmap; be able to clearly communicate to the developer community
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts in technology, user experience and product design to guide developers’ efforts
  • Collaborate with internal marketing and business teams to launch Spaces developer-focused promotions and events globally
  • Participate in and help to facilitate Qualcomm’s engagement in developer industry events, meetups, hackathons and similar
  • Be a constant advocate for Spaces developers

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree is in Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin
  • 1-3+ years of immersive (AR / VR / MR) industry experience in the XR field
  • Experience working with mobile AR cross-platform applications
  • Experience working with AR head-mounted display applications
  • Passion for working with emerging AR technologies
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong interpersonal skills working with a range of developer experience levels
  • The ability to develop and maintain solid, credible relationships both externally and internally
  • Capable of resolving conflicts constructively
  • Ability to promote ideas persuasively

Level Of Responsibility
  • Working under some supervision.

Pay Range

$124,500.00 - $186,500.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
