Position: UI Designer

Groove Jones is a creative technology company that produces next-generation experiences for world-class brands. We are best known for our award-winning work in AR (Augmented Reality), VR (Virtual Reality), ML (Machine Learning), and AI (Artificial Intelligence) Application development. We're currently accepting resumes and portfolios for a Graphic Designer with a focus on UI/UX design. Our Designers are responsible for both the visual look and implementation of UI for our experiences whether they are an app or website. Our designers have strong art fundamentals while understanding the UI/UX principles for beautiful application design.

Qualifications

• BA in art, graphic design, or related field
• 3-5 years of Graphic Design or UI design at digital agency, or other firm preferred
• Strong mastery of Adobe softwares including Photoshop, Illustrator, XD
• Experience with Figma or other wireframing tool preferred

Responsibilities and Duties

• Combine UX thinking with design execution, to produce usable and intuitive user interfaces for each project
• Communicate design solutions to engineers and stakeholders, helping guide the project’s creative execution and keep the design cohesive from start to finish
• Produce high quality UI design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
• Design UI elements and tools such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets for our apps, websites, etc.
• Present concepts, research, and references to the project team.
• Interpreting initial ideas and creating quick sketch drafts for review.
• Creating detailed concept designs in a variety of mediums specific to the brief such as 2D drawings or 3D renders.
• Participating in feedback consultations and noting changes.
• Manage project timelines and schedules and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
• Keeping up to date with the latest design trends and advancements in technology.
