Summary
The Technology Development Group (TDG) is looking for an AR/VR Software Development Engineer to help us push the limits on the next generation of interactive computing for our platform. This team is working with some of Apple's most advanced technologies including augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), machine learning (ML) and computer vision (CV). As a member of our organization you will assist us in exploring future products that will delight, inspire and empower millions of people.
Key Qualifications
Key Qualifications
At least 3 years of relevant experience.
Advanced algorithmic experience in either 3D geometry deformation, animation, ML, simulation or rendering.
Extensive experience with 3D software like Maya, Blender, Houdini etc.
Good understanding and comfort with 3D math (linear algebra).
Demonstrable & notable public work in the areas of visual effects, video games or CG research.
Proven experience developing systems for high fidelity content.
Strong ability for writing high performance code in C or C++.
A strong drive to solve novel and challenging problems.
Description
Investigate and apply machine learning / reinforcement learning / AI planning techniques to practical problems.
Evaluate and fine-tune algorithms — write write highly performant real-time code. Optimize code performance for both real-time and low-power environments.
Collaborate with broader teams across Apple.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $130,000 and $242,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
