AR/VR Prototyper (Unity Developer)

Employer

Job Description

Must-haves

- Fully remote work is not an option as access to lab equipment is required.

- 3+ years of recent professional experience using Unity/C# and/or Unreal to create high end character-centric visuals. (Though we do use both engines, our studio/org tends to favor Unity)

- Intermediate knowledge of Linux and Windows OS.

- C# scripting skills in Unity

- Demonstrated knowledge of most recent game-engine functionality/advances.

- Solid knowledge of Maya and/or Blender as it pertains to character rigging and deformation.

- Brainstorm and create new interactive 3D experiences, with high-end characters, creatures, props and environments in both Unity (C#) and Unreal Engine (Blueprint).

- Troubleshoot complex AR/VR systems, body tracking equipment, and complex Linux/Windows computer systems.

- Design, build and test advanced animation setups, user UIs in these environments.

- Build 'Demo - Experiences' (pared down interactive 'scenarios' - not games) to evaluate strengths/weaknesses of new software/hardware/approaches, and showcase the work of the team, including varying degrees of narrative and artistic 'wrapping'.

Plusses

- Strong math background a plus

- Strong grasp of basic animation principles, kinematics & physics

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Visualization, or Computer Animation, including coding and scripting in various languages

- Experience with real-time body tracking
