What to Expect
Disclaimer: This position is expected to start around August or September 2023 and continue through the entire Fall term (i.e. through December) or into Winter/Spring 2024 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time, in-person. Please consider before submitting an application.

International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. Again, please do not apply until you know you can work 40 hours per week. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year.

  • What You’ll Do
    About the Team

    As a member of the Digital Design Technologies team, you will be responsible for the design, development and deployment of custom technologies at the Tesla Design Studio.

    What You’ll Do
  • Work with small and dedicated team of professional programmers
  • Write software that will aid in the design and development of real products
  • Use and develop technologies like AI, AR, VR, next generation real-time rendering and physical material systems
  • Work on real applications that have an immediate impact within Tesla
  • Do research and development for future tools and applications

  • What You’ll Bring
    What You’ll Bring
  • Good knowledge of C++
  • Good knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 and 5
  • Good knowledge of Windows
  • Good knowledge of 3D mathematics
  • Basic knowledge of Linux base operating systems
  • Basic knowledge of C#, F# or python
  • Basic knowledge of geometry, shaders and materials
  • Basic knowledge of how rendering works
  • Currently working towards a degree in Computer Science and/or relevant area of study

  • Preferred
  • Knowledge of traditional 2D/3D software (e.g. Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, Zbrush, Photoshop).
  • Experience building a custom 3D engine for a project
  • AI development experience.
  • Experience in build 3D applications for mobile platforms
  • Experience working with VR
  • Experience working with BSDF materials

  • Expected Compensation

    $20.00 - $50.00 + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
