This Product Marketing team is seeking a Product Marketing Manager who is passionate about building and marketing innovative social VR products and experiences that inspire meaningful human connection, creation and self expression, and new audiences to discover VR.
This position will join a team responsible for product marketing for Avatars across VR and the company's family of apps. This role is deeply embedded with the product team which builds platforms & tools that enable third-party (3P) developers to bring avatars into their experiences.
Our ideal candidate is analytical and creative, and can transition between tactical project work as well as strategic influence with product leaders. This product marketing team is focused on the inbound phase of product marketing and the strategy that informs outbound marketing with internal partners. Inbound product marketing responsibilities include foundational analysis to identify market needs by segment, opportunity sizing, gathering deep feedback from internal and external stakeholders, and representing the customer (3P developers) within the product team.
Responsibilities:
- Help shape product roadmaps through market & customer research, competitive analyses, audience segmentation & sizing, and deep dives into developer needs.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute product launch and GTM efforts. Drive target audience definition, value proposition & messaging development, content creation, and GTM channel activation across developer audiences to achieve awareness, adoption, and retention goals.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the developer ecosystem (both VR and mobile/web) and be the voice of the developer within the Org.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally and building consensus among multiple stakeholders in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in product marketing, product strategy, or other analytical roles
- Experience communicating with a variety of audiences (both internal and external) and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. product managers, engineers, data science, legal, policy, partnerships, Ops)
- Experience influencing product roadmaps through relevant research and analysis
- Experience launching products: create detailed go-to-market plans including audience definition, positioning statements, clearly defined value propositions; and collaborate with cross-functional partners (Marketing, Legal, Comms, etc.) to identify & execute marketing channels/activations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- MBA degree
- Experience with building and launching platforms, products, and tooling for Developer audiences
- Experience with driving engagement, retention and growth of Developer communities
- Track record of helping to build products with clear product market fit
- Experience working cross-functionally on ambiguous 0→1 projects within a fast-paced, changing environment
- Balance of creative and analytical thinking, putting forth best-in-class execution within a measurable and data-driven framework
- Interest for and understanding of Virtual Reality and/or Gaming
The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $98.11 - $109.01 hourly. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
