Job Description

Junior Production Artist

We Are Immersive are on the hunt for a creative and motivated junior production artist to join our team. If a creative culture, cutting-edge technology, a flexible approach to working, and a host of global brand clients appeals to you – read on.

What will you be doing?

Working under the guidance of our Creative Director and alongside our experienced team of creatives you’ll be involved in projects across the studio.

We work on a wide range of projects from fully interactive VR experiences to site-specific installations, AR apps, 360 videos, and much more. If it’s creative and techy we’re on it, so you’ll be working on a range of projects with a range of different technologies.

This could be acting as a production assistant on the set of a 360 film, creating pitch visuals to help us win new clients, editing behind-the-scenes featurettes, storyboarding gameplay of a VR experience, and more.

You’ll also be actively involved in idea generation for new and existing clients and encouraged to develop your own ideas and creativity.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for immersive and creative technology, who’s ready to get stuck in and take on new creative challenges. You’ll be part of our wider team, but you’ll need to be able to stay motivated and focused when working on your own. Our ideal candidate will have a solid knowledge of a wide range of creative skills and be keen to develop further. Our projects are varied, so adaptability and creative problem-solving skills are a must.

What skills do you need?

Good skills in photoshop/illustrator.

A solid understanding of video editing.

Artworking skills to develop concepts and communicate ideas.

Bonus Points

Skills in motion graphics & animation.

Layout and design skills.

Skills with 3D software/game engines.

Any secret amazing tech skills we haven’t mentioned.

Key attributes

Flexibility - the ability to take feedback on board and adapt to it in a positive way.

Curiosity - this role is ideally suited to someone who wants to learn about a wide range of creative techniques and get hands-on experience in different areas of the creative industry.

Adaptability - one minute you’ll be rotoscoping some rogue greenscreen footage, the next you could be asked to produce key visuals for a new pitch deck - therefore you’ll need to be able to adapt and use your skills across a wide range of projects.

Tech-Minded - Though this is a creative role, understanding how everything works and fits together requires a certain level of technical savvy.

What’s on offer?

Initially, this is a 6-month temporary contract with a view to being made permanent, we offer an attractive salary and 25 days holiday a year (pro-rata), plus bank holidays. We’ll give you all the tools needed for the job and ongoing team-wide support to settle in, learn new skills, and progress your creativity. We offer flexible working with a split between working remotely and at our city-centre office. You’ll be part of a friendly working environment where everyone has the same aim: to make great work and have fun doing it.
