We are looking for a AR/VR Audio Software Engineer to drive the integration of cutting edge technology into Apple’s product ecosystem. You will work closely with hardware and software teams from across the company to design and implement high-performing, low-powered audio system software. Within our organization, you will have a uniquely rewarding opportunity to develop audio software in future products that will delight and inspire millions of people every day.


Key Qualifications

Excellent programming and debugging skills in C/C++, Objective-C, and/or Swift

Excellent communication and problem solving skills

Understanding of audio, realtime and/or multithreaded software

Extraordinary attention to detail and great product judgement.


Description

The Engineer will work cross functionally with high level frameworks and applications as well as low level runtime frameworks to integrate features, and improve performance and reliability, to ensure our experience and performance goals are met. They will be comfortable working in a large code base, across multiple projects, and be familiar with analyzing logs and performance traces. And, they will be a team-oriented professional with excellent communication skills, collaborating with a diverse group of engineers from across the company, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.


Education & Experience

BS, or MS in Computer Science OR equivalent degree / industry experience


Additional Requirements

Desired but not required:

•Experience working with audio engines for interactive/game development;

•Experience with Xcode and the iOS/macOS development toolchain;

•Detailed understanding of audio software stacks on iOS/macOS.


Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,000 and $278,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
