The Technology Development Group (TDG) is seeking a Software Engineer to help architect and implement User Input and Interaction UI experiences that live at the core of our groundbreaking AR/VR platform. This engineer will work in a highly collaborative team contributing to multiple layers of the input and interaction UI stack, while working closely with organizations across Apple (Human Interface, Frameworks, etc.).
Key Qualifications
Experience shipping applications for Apple platforms (macOS, iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, watchOS)
Strong command of object-oriented programming (Objective-C / Swift / C++)
Strong Computer Science fundamentals
Detail-oriented approach to creating user interfaces from design/experience specifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Description
As a member of our team, you will help drive the architecture and implementation of UI experiences that will enable productivity for all of our users. These UI experiences are at the core of our product, and building high-quality software is paramount. You will work closely with a variety of teams including designers, quality engineers, framework engineers, and more to prototype, evaluate, and deliver features that will surprise and delight millions of customers every day.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with shifting goals and priorities. The ideal candidate can think outside the box to solve incredibly challenging and interesting problems in the AR/VR space.
Education & Experience
BS/MS in Computer Science OR equivalent degree with at least 3 years of experience
Additional Requirements
- Experience with AppKit and/or UIKit
- Experience with Apple testing frameworks (e.g. XCTest)
- Experience creating AR/VR input experiences
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $130,000 and $242,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
