We develop intelligent and trustworthy AIoT solutions to enable inspiring UX for Bosch products and services in application areas such as autonomous driving, driver assistance systems (ADAS), robotics, smart manufacturing, health care, smart home and building solutions.
As a part of our global research unit, our
Natural Language Processing and Knowledge Representation & Reasoning group is responsible for shaping the future user experience of Bosch products by developing cutting-edge technologies and prototype systems in the fields of natural language processing and understanding, knowledge representation and reasoning, question answering, information retrieval, dialogue management, knowledge-based assistance, speech processing, and etc. We work on solutions to derive useful information and knowledge from textual data, and enable natural, intuitive and intelligent personal assistance. We work with internal partners at various Bosch business units to transfer our ideas and solutions into future products. We also actively collaborate with leading groups in academia and industry to promote research ideas and publish research findings in internationally renowned conferences and journals, e.g., ACL, EMNLP, ISWC, AAAI.
Job Description
- Develop techniques and components of knowledgebases and semantic reasoning frameworks.
- Develop synthetic and/or real-world benchmark framework to evaluate and verify the components implemented.
- Collaborate with mentors and other colleagues to integrate the developed methods into prototype systems for Bosch applications
- Summarize research findings in high-quality conference / journal papers and/or patent submissions
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Pursuing Master or PhD degree in computer science or engineering discipline
- Previous research experience in developing ontologies and semantic reasoning frameworks is desirable
- Fluency in at least one general-purpose programming language (Java, Python, etc.)
- Strong research and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Publication record in top venues
- Practical experience and knowledge of Semantic Web tools (e.g., Apache Jena, Stardog, Protege, rdflib, OWL API)
- Practical experience and knowledge of Semantic Web standards (e.g., XML, JSON, RDF(S), OWL, SKOS, SPARQL)
- Practical experience and knowledge of common ML frameworks and NLP library (e.g., Pytorch, Tensorflow and Spacy)
Additional Information
The U.S. base salary range for this intern position is $26.00-$66.00 hourly. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, type of degree, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, type of position, job location, etc. Your Hiring Manager can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
