Job Description

StaffGrabbers is exclusively partnered with a VC-backed company that is building electric-powered autonomous vehicles that operate on dedicated lanes. These vehicles can be easily plugged into cities, corporate campuses, or colleges to provide clean and flexible public transportation without needing to make significant investments into the infrastructure.

The company has 50 people currently but is scaling to 200 people. They have proof of concept already and are building a low-capacity system by early 2024. The company is 5-years old and is managing 8-projects around the Bay Area currently.

Our client is hiring for an Experience Prototyper with 5+ years of prior experience with designing and building prototypes. The role is a mix of software, hardware and using immersive technologies such as AR and VR.

This position is 100% remote but candidates local to the Bay Area are required.

Compensation depends on experience but up to 190K base + equity is the target.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop prototypes for electric-powered autonomous vehicles using a combination of software, hardware, and immersive technologies such as AR and VR.
• Conduct user research and gain a deep understanding of user needs to build an optimal product.
• Collaborate with other designers to create a cohesive user experience across the platform.
• Work with product and engineering teams to test and implement user experience solutions.
• Contribute creative ideas for user-friendly and accessible product features.
• Continuously evaluate and improve the user experience through design iteration and testing.

Qualifications:

• At least 5+ years of experience with designing and building prototypes.
• Prior experience with software AND hardware designs.
• Prior experience with immersive technologies such as AR or VR required.
• Experience with IoT, ambient interfaces, natural UI, etc are a strong plus.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable with a 100% remote role.
