Education & Training Program Manager

Job Description

Street Smarts VR is a veteran-owned, dual-use technology platform that's revolutionizing tactical training through virtual reality and improving public safety outcomes. By integrating software, hardware, and training data, SSVR's solution is transforming the VR training landscape.

Across four continents, 10,000 users across dozens of US military and police departments currently train with SSVR - and that's a tiny fraction of the 5 million first responders in the US who carry weapons and for whom training is not just a requirement but a moral imperative. SSVR is forecasting rapid growth over the coming years in both state and local law enforcement as well as all 4 branches of the US Military.

At Street Smarts VR, we understand that military and first responders consistently operate in high stress, high consequence environments. We’ve lived it. So by leveraging virtual reality and real-world data sources, we’ve built a fully immersive platform that conditions users to the real life stressors they will face in the field.

What you can expect to work on:

  • Training Development Strategy: You’ll constantly assess our training approach based on our evolving customer base and create effective training strategies and mediums to meet the needs of our customers. You’ll play a critical role in the onboarding and continual education process to drive product adoption and customer outcomes.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: You’ll work with Sales leaders to develop a partnership certification program and other customer facing teams to identify training and documentation needs.
  • Documentation and Content Management: Your team will own the Learning Management System (LMS) and Knowledge Base. You’ll oversee the creation of LMS courses, various learning pathways, and training and product documentation including release notes and feature guides.
  • User Training Pathways: You will oversee the creation of course content and curriculum, ensure setup and delivery best practices, and measure the effectiveness of in-person and virtual training. You’ll also incorporate other training mediums like videos and webinars to enhance the learning experience.
  • Partnership Certification: You’ll build on customer training and documentation to develop a partnership certification program. You’ll help ensure our partners train to standard and fully understand our software and hardware.

What we expect from you:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software training, documentation, and program development
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading and managing teams
  • Experience developing and implementing partnership certification programs
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience measuring the effectiveness of training
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Experience working at a startup and serving in a player / coach capacity
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Travel 25% to 50% of the time throughout different periods of the year

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary & bonus
  • Multiple healthcare plans to choose from
  • Company-matched 401k program
