Job Description:

Carrie Able Gallery is seeking a highly motivated and experienced part-time New Media Curator and artist advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for curating and managing new media exhibitions and projects, with a focus on virtual reality (VR) and web3 technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curate and manage new media exhibitions and projects, with a focus on VR and web3 technologies
• Collaborate with artists, designers, and other stakeholders to develop and execute new media projects
• Stay current with developments in VR and web3 technologies and identify opportunities for the gallery to engage with these areas
• Meet with artists once per week virtually 
• Manage the logistics of new media projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in art, curatorial studies, or related field
• A minimum of 2 years experience curating new media exhibitions or projects
• Strong familiarity with VR and web3 technologies
• Strong project management and budgeting skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

This is a part-time position with flexible hours, the ideal candidate will have a strong technical background as well as excellence in curation.
