Job Summary

As a smaller organization our controller needs to be flexible in performing duties as “working bookkeeper” as well as being responsible for overseeing company financial statements. Their duties include collaborating with department operations, compiling financial reports and implementing policies and procedures for financial reporting. This is a fully remote position.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and complete activities for accounts payable and receivable.
  • Provide weekly and monthly updates to C-Suite regarding financial health.
  • Assure corporate income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes.
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data and enhance the company's value.
  • Assist C-Suite on a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports, such as acquisition integrations and information technology enhancements.
  • Oversee financial audits.
  • Provide PNL, cashflow, budget, payroll, and other reports as necessary, on a monthly basis to executive team
  • Ability to multi-task, manage cashflow, manage monthly contractor payments and research accounts payable regarding projects, contractors, and any other outstanding balances.


Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or work experience of 8+ years in similar role.
  • The ability to communicate with co-workers and management proactively and effectively about finances and justify certain financial recommendations
  • Attention to detail is critical skills for this role
  • Math skills and accurate calculations and estimates, budgeting skills
  • Organization and project management
  • Service mindset for both internal and external clients
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • QuickBooks Online experience required


Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000
