Summary
The Technology Development Group (TDG) is looking for an applications prototyper to help develop and define the next generation of user experiences. This team is working to define future products involving advanced technologies like augmented reality (AR), machine learning (ML), computer vision (CV), and Internet of Things (IoT). As a team member you will help us understand the experiences enabled by these technologies that have the potential to delight, inspire, and empower millions of people.

Description
As an applications experience prototyper, you will “learn by doing”, working rapidly and cross-functionally to understand and express key capabilities of future products, translating them into interactive experience prototypes to guide decision-making and build experiential data and intuition across the organization and the company.
You will use Apple technologies like Swift and ARKit, augmenting them when necessary and appropriate with whatever other tools are available to express the most vital aspects of an idea, and quickly build coherent, user-focused experiences to help feel and understand it more deeply.
Your audiences will range from team members to technical partners and cross-functional collaborators to executives and decision-makers, depending on the problem at hand.
Your work will be instrumental in helping Apple to understand the promises and pitfalls of technologies that may not even exist yet, and will help guide the incubation of those technologies towards product.
Education & Experience
BS / MS / PhD in Computer Science OR equivalent degree OR equivalent experience
Additional Requirements
Familiarity with immersive experiences, 3D math, Unity or other 3D development platforms, and/or prototyping technologies like Touch Designer, PureData, Arduino, etc.
Experience with IoT/Ubicomp/ambient interfaces, natural UI, etc.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $109,500 and $171,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
