TL;DR:

We’re seeking a principal mobile application developer as a key stakeholder and equity owner in a game-changing company.

Strollbar is looking for a principal developer to lead the technical production of an exciting mobile application. The app is a unique take on how we engage and experience media, beginning with photos. If you have an interest in photography, audio recording, video production, and/or AR/MR/XR, we encourage you to apply. We consider it a plus if you have experience in location-based services and mapping technologies.

Note: This is a stakeholder position that entails hands-on coding foremost. Knowledge and experience in team management, project management, workflow design, systems integration, marketing, and analytics are major pluses and will be utilized as the company grows.

The App: Strollbar is a mobile application that allows users to see each other’s photos (and other media) as long as they’re within a very close range of these photos’ geotagged coordinates. By using the app, you can see what has happened in the same space in the past, unlocking moments that would have never been seen otherwise. Reach out, we’ll tell you more. 

Position: The focus of this position is to develop Strollbar to completion and to lead the company as the principal developer now and into the future. In further detail, a major priority is to establish a viable backend with React Native (the frontend is completely developed) and to ensure systems alignment across all aspects of the application infrastructure. Once the application is complete, the candidate should be willing and able to continue leading all technological facets of development as Strollbar grows.

Ideal candidate: The ideal candidate is one who has a proven background in full-stack development. Experience with mobile app development using javascript frameworks is highly desirable. An interest in multimedia, location-based services, and geospatial data is a big plus. Along with the aforementioned criteria, a developer who can think holistically along with other team members to facilitate the best possible experience for app users is most suited to this position.

As a co-founder, you will be joining a team of two founders experienced in marketing, business development, and operations. We have deep industry knowledge, a solid business plan, thorough plans of action for user-acquisition, and a solid model for monetization. As a crucial member of the Strollbar team, the principal developer will have a big impact on product growth and a major role to play in the direction of the company.
